“Women hold up half the sky,” according to a Chinese adage. The 3rd annual Half the Sky* Fair is a lively celebration of the light and hope that women represent around the globe. Meet dedicated individuals from women-centered non-profit organizations like ours that empower women and girls worldwide. At the Fair you will find gift items to purchase, entertainment, food, and silent auction items to bid on in a wide variety of price points.
The International Market will offer the wares of artisans and businesswomen working around the world to eradicate poverty through entrepreneurship and fair trade.
The Silent Auction at this year’s Half the Sky* Fair will feature a wide and wonderful variety of donations from many generous individual and corporate donors. This year’s auction includes gifts from the Westin Hotel Downtown, the Green Horse Gallery, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The proceeds of the silent auction will benefit Project Education South Sudan and The Women’s College Half the Sky international student scholarship.
The Half the Sky* Fair is an annual event created by a group of students and alumnae of the Women’s College of the University of Denver dedicated to the protection and advancement of women and girls. Produced entirely by volunteers, the Half the Sky Fair donates all net proceeds to selected local and international nonprofit 501(c)3 charities that support the empowerment of girls and women through education.
