ProvideInc and Lorla’s Team Up

When Lorla’s and ProvideInc put out the word that they were hosting a bra drive again in 2015, the response was overwhelming!

As a result of the efforts of these two long-time Michigan supporters of Free The Girls, lots of bras and bucks were collected to help provide economic empowerment to survivors of sex trafficking in developing countries.

Both individual supporters and groups of local volunteers gathered to sort the donated bras. In fact, ProvideInc had so many people who wanted to help, they had to promise to call them next year. One of the amazing groups of volunteers was from Rochester Community School. They sorted and folded bras while learning about human trafficking.

The bra drive also benefited from generous financial contributions from Renee Klebba of Ladies Luvin’ Charity and Kensington Church’s Insights Bible study group, Orion Campus.

In the end, the bra drive collected 1,300 bras and $625 to donate to Free The Girls! That makes this bra drive a “DD” donation!

Once the bras were sorted and packed up, they were ready to make the journey from Michigan to our collection center in Chesterton, Indiana. Two charitable husbands, Bob Beras and Steve Naseef, helped transport the bras part of the way, where they met up with another volunteer from ProvideInc, Kevin Parsons, who shuttled the 1,300 bras the rest of the way to Indiana!

Free The Girls is so pleased to have ProvideInc and Lorla’s–along with their team of volunteers–as supporters.
