Free The Girls Partners with Mission To El Salvador

The billboard sign in San Salvador reads, “La trata de mujeres es un delito. Levantemos nuestra voz.” which translates as, “Trafficking in women is a crime. Lift up our voice.” This is a significant step for a country in which, only a year ago, the topic of human trafficking was virtually absent from the public consciousness.

Mission To El Salvador brought Free The Girls to El Salvador to help provide job opportunities to survivors of sex trafficking in the city of San Salvador. Guest blogger Danielle Snyder of Mission To El Salvador describes a typical day in the Free The Girls program.

FAWCO Matching Funds Challenge Ends June 30

The Federation of American Women Clubs Overseas (FAWCO) has committed to providing Free The Girls with a generous financial boost over the next two years by raising money to help support our growth and domestic infrastructure.

As part of that support, FAWCO has secured a $5,000 commitment in matching funds for individual donations of up to $250 through the end of June. That means your $250 donation results in $500 for Free The Girls!

Meet FTG Inventory Manager Pam Gumns

Pam Gumns has volunteered with Free The Girls since 2011. Pam’s responsibilities as a volunteer evolved over time from organizing bra drives to overseeing the bra inventory sorting process. In April 2014, Free The Girls hired Pam as our part-time Inventory Manager.

We are pleased to introduce you to Pam, in her own words. Click here to read more.
