SPRING CLEANING: FREE THE GIRLS
March 17, 2014 — Surely you’re familiar with one of the most inspiring – and one of our favorites – quotes of all time: “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.” — Secretary of State Madeline Albright. Well said Madame Secretary, we couldn’t agree more. So, in honor of the official start to spring and March being National Women’s History month, we’re renewing our partnership with Free The Girls to do some good for fellow womankind. Helping others with the added benefit of new lingerie, what’s not to love?
Free The Girls aids women who have been rescued from human trafficking by helping them to earn a living selling second-hand bras while going to school, getting healthy, and caring for their families. Our part is to provide them with gently worn bras that are sent to safe houses in Mozambique, and soon other developing nations in need.
Starting on March 17th and lasting until March 31st, bring in your gently worn bras to any Journelle store and you’ll get 20% off a new bra (for every bra donated, up to five total).
And if you find yourself near our UES (1233 73rd Street at 3rd Avenue) store on Saturday, March 22nd with bras in hand (or bag) stop in from 9 am – 1 pm to donate, and receive a complementary bottle of Journelle’s own lingerie wash in addition to 20% off a new bra.
Not in NYC? Not to worry, we’ll still take your bras and you’ll still get 20% off. Just mail your bra or bras to our warehouse (attn: Spring Cleaning, 159 West 25th St., 4th Fl, NYC 10001) and send an email to email@example.com with your tracking information. Once verified, our customer care team will send you a promocode for 20% off a brand-new bra! You’ll be on your way to a new lingerie wardrobe in no time.
Be sure to mention all the good you’ve done and tag @shopjournelle, #freethegirls, #springcleaning + #journellebradrive. Share with the world and help get everyone involved, because if there were ever a “more the merrier” situation, this would be it.
Help us Free the Girls, in more ways than one.
