Ampere Partners With Free The Girls
Free The Girls is proud to announce our new partnership with Ampere!
“Ampere is revolutionizing how women shop for bras,” says Kimba Langas, Executive Director of Free The Girls. “When you purchase a bra from Ampere, they ship you several additional sizes to try on at home with free shipping and free returns. Including multiple sizes, for free, helps to reduce the customer’s anxiety of purchasing lingerie online and ensures that each customer ends up with a perfect fitting bra. In addition, each bra purchase comes with a free matching panty, so no customer ever has to mis-match or overpay for underwear ever again. Ampere’s innovative business model is a “perfect fit” for our organization.”
Ampere customers will now be able to include their gently used bras when they return their additional sizes to the NYC-based lingerie company. The bras will be donated to Free The Girls, a 501c3 tax-exempt organization that offers economic empowerment to women rescued from sex trafficking. The bras provide starting inventory for the women to have their own business selling the bras in the thriving second-hand clothing industry overseas.
“We decided to reach out to Free the Girls, because we love what the organization stands for and we want to help young women all over the world feel empowered and independent through lingerie,” says Jiabei Chen and Yun Ah Lee, Ampere’s co-founders. “Since we already include a pre-paid return label with every order, we thought it would be a great opportunity for our customers to clean out their lingerie drawers and donate to a great cause! We are extremely excited about this partnership.”
