At Free The Girls, we want to be open and transparent about our work on the ground and how impactful your support is. Please take a moment to explore our 2015 Impact Report!
Free The Girls is a Colorado-based, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our EIN is: 27-2454072. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent of the law. Purchases of t-shirts are not considered a donation and are not tax-deductible. Please consult your tax adviser if you have any questions.
In case you were wondering…
…where to find our financials.
Being a registered 501(c)(3), our financials are public record. If you would like to review our past 990 forms or have any further questions, we would love to chat with you! Email us at email@example.com, and we will schedule a time to connect.
…why this is our first Impact Report.
The bra-selling program has been operating for five years now, and we are just now really seeing the trends and impact of our work. We’ve had to make adjustments and customize each individual in-country program due to evolving import laws and currency fluctuations, but we are now confident that we have found the best way to support these incredible women in our program–and have found uniform metrics for measuring impact across all our locations. You can expect an annual Impact Report moving forward.
…how we can afford to employ our staff.
All of our employees are part-time and work virtually from their home offices providing support for our domestic and international programs. Several of the staff positions have previously been funded by a generous grant from the Federation of American Women’s Clubs Overseas (FAWCO). Read more about FAWCO’s donation here.
…why you can’t find us on Charity Navigator.
Charity Navigator only evaluates charities with an income of $1 million or greater. As you can tell from our budget, we aren’t there yet. But hopefully you will see us listed there one day.
…about something else related to our Impact or financials.
Please let us know and we will do our best to get you the information.
